Duties & Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and implement contractual agreements with key buying groups, IDN’s and multi-hospital systems within region of responsibility.
  • Work with National Accounts Director/Area VPs/Regional Sales Directors to identify and execute strategies to grow product and compliance scope of contractual relationships; identify and create value, add solutions and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and schedule business reviews with targeted groups and contracted systems to ensure compliance and business objectives of agreements are being met.
  • Design, develop and deliver plan to drive growth within key contracted entities in region of responsibility.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within key contracted and targeted entities.
  • Prepare, analyze, negotiate and implement contract solutions, terms, conditions, compliance and metrics.
  • Attend meetings and business reviews in coordination with National Accounts Director and Area VPs/Regional Sales Directors with larger regional groups or key accounts.
  • Responsible for start-to-finish bid management – RFP’s, bid planning, analysis, contract negotiation, and implementation. Ensure timely and complete bid and proposal development and delivery.
  • Support the coordination of sales activities with Field Sales Organization as it relates to pricing and contracting in order to pursue opportunities, reduce risk of revenue and margin loss and maximize business potential.
  • Support development of the Field Sales Organization regarding sales and contracting with hospital customers through education on the contracting process and guidance in processing approvals.
  • Assist and support other employees, teams and sales personnel as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution required. Masters preferred
  • 3-7 years related experience in a medical device industry
  • 2-5 years of experience in medical device contracting or national account management

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong business planning skills
  • High level verbal and written communication skills necessary to develop and conduct formal sales presentations, represent Company to key accounts, negotiate and provide effective leadership and motivation to others
  • High level understanding of medical device bid processes and contract negotiation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
